Should You Upgrade to PCIe 4? Samsung 970 Evo SSD in 2021

Questioning if you should be upgrading to PCIe 4? Or is the Samsung 970 Evo SSD still good in 2021? Although this question may be different for everyone, it still comes down to your workflow and how you are investing your time, energy and money. If you want to invest into the PCIe gen 4 drives you should have a need for it.

In this video we review the Sumsung 970 Evo. A PCIe 3 drive that has done great over the years. It has 2 versions, the Samsung 970 Evo Plus and Samsung 970 Evo Pro. These drives have high speeds for gen 3 technology. The question is how does the 970 Evo match up against the gen 4 drives. My focus will be on data transfers and of course usability with work flow. Case scenarios of should you upgrade to PCIe 4 or stick with the Gen 3 drive.
